The much-awaited Telugu action-drama Daaku Maharaaj, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, has had an exhilarating run at the box office in its opening week. The film, known for its gripping storyline and stellar cast, has garnered ₹73.44 crore net in seven days across the domestic circuit.
Opening with a massive ₹25.35 crore on its first day, Daaku Maharaaj capitalized on the festive Pongal weekend. The film maintained steady collections in the initial days but witnessed a dip as the week progressed.

- Day 2: ₹12.8 Cr

While the film’s day 7 numbers suggest that it may narrowly miss the ₹75 crore milestone by the end of its first week, its worldwide collections have already reached ₹99 crore, including ₹15.20 crore from international markets.
Directed by a talented team, the film also features Bollywood’s Bobby Deol as the menacing antagonist, alongside Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, and Urvashi Rautela, who play key roles. Urvashi’s viral dance number Dabidi Dabidi continues to trend, contributing significantly to the film’s buzz.
Despite stiff competition from other festival releases like Pushpa 2 and Sankranthiki Vasthunam, Daaku Maharaaj has managed to hold its ground. Sankranthiki Vasthunam has overshadowed Balakrishna’s actioner with a staggering ₹93.75 crore in its opening days, yet Daaku Maharaaj stands out for its strong theatrical presence and fan support. While the film has not yet recovered its ₹100 crore budget through domestic collections, its promising non-theatrical revenues from satellite and digital rights are expected to contribute significantly.
As Daaku Maharaaj gears up for its second-week run, the question remains: will Balakrishna’s charismatic performance and the film’s mass appeal help it break new records?
